Cider Punch

Combine 2 cups orange juice, 1 cup lemon juice, and 4 cups apple cider with 1 cup sifted confectioners' sugar; stir until dissolved.  Pour over ice cubes.  Garnish with mint leaves.  12 servings.

Festive Fruit Punch

4 cups unsweetened pineapple juice * 1 cup orange juice * 1/2 cup lemon juice * 3/4 cup sugar * 1 ice ring * 
1 28-ounce bottle ginger ale, chilled

In a bowl combine pineapple juice, orange juice, and lemon juice. Stir in sugar till dissolved.  Cover; chill.  To serve, place ice ring in a punch bowl.  Pour juice mixture over ring.  Slowly pour ginger ale down side of punch bowl.  Stir gently to mix.  Makes about 18 four-ounce servings.

Hot Chocolate By The Bowlful

With such an enticing array of chocolate choices, it's worth trying different brands each time you make this delightful decadent cocoa.  Start to finish: 15 minutes.

4 cups half-and-half, light cream, or whole milk * 3 to 4 oz. semisweet chocolate, chopped * 3 to 4 oz. bittersweet chocolate, chopped * 1 Tbsp. dark-colored corn syrup * 

In a heavy, 2-quart saucepan combine half-and-half, semisweet chocolate, and bittersweet chocolate.  Stir in dark corn syrup.  Cook and stir over medium heat until chocolate melts and mixture is smooth.  Serve in warmed latte bowls or mugs.  Makes 8 servings.
Nutritional facts per serving:  270 calories; 23 g total fat (14 g sat. fat); 45 mg chol; 52 mg sodium; 17 g carbo; 3 g fiber; and 6 g pro.  Daily Values:  16% vit. A, 2% vit. C, 12% calcium, and 8% iron.

Hot Tea Mix

1 9-ounce jar (1 1/4 cups) orange-flavored breakfast drink powder * 3/4 cup iced tea mix with lemon and sugar * 1 tsp. ground cinnamon * 1/2 tsp. ground allspice * 1/4 tsp. ground cloves

Combine all ingredients; mix well.  Store in airtight containers.  Makes 2 cups mix.
Directions to enclose with mix:  For one serving, combine 2 tablespoons of the Hot Tea Mix with 1 cup boiling water in a cup or mug.

Quick Cranberry Punch

Reconstitute 1 can (6 oz.) frozen lemonade concentrate in large pitcher.  Add 2 bottles (1 pt. each) cranberry cocktail and enough ice to chill. Just before serving, stir in 2 bottles (7 oz. each) ginger ale. 10 to 12 servings.

Spiced Coffee Mix

1 cup regular grind coffee * 8 whole allspice * 8 whole cloves * 8 inches stick cinnamon, broken * 6 sugar cubes

In a bowl combine coffee, allspice, cloves, cinnamon, and sugar cubes.  Store in airtight containers.
Directions to enclose with mix:  To make coffee, place the Spiced Coffee Mix in a coffee pot basket and brew with 6 cups water.  Serves 8.

Spiced Mocha Mix

2 cups sweetened cocoa mix * 1/3 cup instant coffee crystals * 1 tsp. ground cinnamon

In a bowl combine cocoa mix, coffee crystals, and cinnamon.  Stir thoroughly.  Store in airtight containers.  Makes 
2 1/4 cups mix.
Directions to enclose with mix:  For one serving, combine 3 Tablespoons of the Spiced Mocha Mix with 2/3 cup boiling water in a cup or mug.
